Roulette, Black Jack and Poker sounds like a night of fun!
This year at the University of Tampa’s Casino Night there was a huge turn out.
Students crowded tables waiting anxiously for their chance to make a big win.
“I am just waiting to get onto this [poker] table” said student Ashley “CK” Kearney.
With poker being one of the most popular casino games, it was no surprise that it would attract many students.
The turn out was so great that some students had to wait to even get a chance to play.
Students that had attended Casino Night the previous year knew that it was a big event and planned accordingly.
“I got here early, which was good because about an hour later the tables were getting so full that they were turning people away...it was fun though,” said Raymond Cheng.
Students were no strangers to the roulette tables, either. Every spot was filled with either a student wishing they had good luck or someone cheering on a friend.
The air around the tables was filled with cheers and rants, the excitement was almost palpable.
But there’s more to casinos than just games -- what’s a casino without food?
Student Productions knew that food, games, and prizes would definitely attract students at UT, providing finger food that would fill students up without distract them from the games.
To give the Vaughn Lobby the ambiance of a real casino, there were waitresses offering food and drinks, making the casino guests comfortable.
The Spartan was also in attendance, as the school mascot did not want to miss out on the fun.
Winning students were rewarded with some amazing prizes, including; a Sony Cybershot Camera, a new iPod, DVDs, and candy.
